Hey dreamers!
October has officially started, as well as the countdown to Halloween!!
Today I bring you a very simple but nasty as heck sfx makeup!
This is a bloody broken/split nail makeup I have already done a few times, perfect for Halloween if you want to do something a little bit creepy, but have no time or patience for costumes.

All you’ll need is:
-Fake nails
- Fake blood or bright red and dark red lipstick
- Cotton
-Glue (I used UHU universal glue this time)
-Scissors

Hey dreamers!

-Unhas falsas
- Sangue falso ou batom vermelho claro e vermelho escuro
- Algodão
-Cola (eu usei cola UHU universal)
-Uma tesoura

1. First I cut my fake nail into pieces with a scissor,  you can cut it into as much pieces as you want.
2. After that, I applied some bright red lipstick all over my nail, then I added some depth around the edges with a darker red lipstick.
3. Next I added a little bit of glue onto my nail, and right after this step I glued down some pieces of cotton, coating them in the lipstick. This will create a meaty texture giving it  the illusion of ripped flesh.
4. To finish up the look, place your previously cutted  bits of fake nail onto your own nail and just coat all that with a generous amount of fake blood.

And you’re done! Supaaah easy but as gross as it gets.
Hope y’all enjoyed this quick and SFX makeup tutorial.
(you can find a video of this makeup's removal on my instagram @tachasdaydreams)

Hey Hey!
So today's post is aaaall about inspiration.
Starting off as a makeup artist, researching for inspiration is really important, whether you get it from movies, series, youtube and so on.
I've been obsessed with "The Revenant" ever since I heard of it and after watching the actual movie...blown away.
(Dicaprio earned that goddamn Oscar!!)
This movie is an authentic work of art to be honest, and the makeup work is what stands out the most.
If you haven't seen it already, you go guys!
All of DiCaprio's prosthetic wounds were applied by Duncan James, Duncan and his team did thorough research and found historical information about the wounds, so that they could make them appear as realistic as possible.
Have you seen "The Revenant" already? What do you think?
Here are some pictures that have been inspiring me lately.

Hey Hey!
(O DiCaprio bem mereceu aquele maldito Oscar!!)
Se ainda não o viram, you go guys!
Já viram o "The Revenant"? O que acharam?
Eis algumas fotos que me têm vindo a inspirar ultimamente.

// I began by outlining the model’s natural wrinkles with a brown pencil (funny faces alert). Then I outlined the lines previously done in brown with the white face paint on a brush to obtain a light/shadow effect and then I just blended these guidelines.

// After many funny faces I finally began to apply the liquid latex, working in thin layers, stretching the skin as much as I can. When it’s dried, the latex will form "wrinkles". I did about four layers and worked in small portions of the face, drying it with a blow dryer in-between each layer.

// Because the cheeks are quite difficult to stretch manually, I used a spoon to do the job. // After the latex has dried completely, I’m again defining the light and shadow areas with the highlight countour palette. I also faked some age spots with the brown pencil. // I repeated all these steps on the neck, hands and feet. With the help of a fine brush and Snazaroo’s blue face paint, I drew some small veins and bruises, as well as some age spots with the brown pencil, on the hands and feet. // Finally , I painted the model’s eyebrows and the hair, again with Snazaroo’s white face paint and tadaaaah! // I hope you enjoyed my very first post, the first of many!
